Let's help the animals of Iowa City!
FACF Paws for a Cause 2016 goal is $25,000
We are no longer accepting donations on this campaign, but there are other ways for you to support us today!
Join me in supporting real change. Let's support the efforts of Friends of the Animal Center Foundation and make a difference. We can help them provide funding for comfort, freedom from fear, and a loving guardian for all companion animals at the Iowa City Animal Center.
Many of you know the domestic violence shelter I work with is partnering with the Iowa City Animal Center and Leash on Life to bring kennels and support for pets to our shelter residents and outreach clients. More than 70% of our clients have pets and 48% delay leaving or won't leave an abusive relationship because they know their pet will be injured or killed if they can't bring them when they leave. We will have kennels to support dogs and cats at our shelter, in addition to the many animals we have helped provide foster homes to over the years with the support of programs like the Iowa City Animal Center. Our kennels will open in July and our staff will be trained by the professionals at the Iowa City Animal Center - That's why I'm so proud to give back and hope you will help too!
Some of you also know that we've been training our dog Molly to become a Therapy Dog to help support the kids and adults we provide services to. Molly is doing very well with her training and we hope to have her certified this summer and she's excited to be walking in Paws for a Cause!
Help me reach my fundraising goal so that we can make a big impact!
Just a small donation will go a long way to helping me meet my goal for FACF Paws for a Cause 2016.
