I started volunteering at the Iowa City Animal Care & Adoption Center (ICAC) in 2014 and it has been a life-changing experience. Every day I am there, I see the good that Friends of the Animal Center Foundation (FACF) dollars are doing to improve the quality of life for the animals that come through the shelter's doors -- dogs, cats, bunnies, birds, guinea pigs, and more!

In addition to pledging $1 million towards the ICAC's new, state-of-the-art facility, FACF supports many programs and services at the Animal Center. Your donation dollars may be used for:

• Beginning and advanced training for volunteers
• Enrichment items to reduce stress and boredom for the animals (toys, cat trees, play structures for small animals, etc.)
• Specialized medical care for sick or injured animals
• Basic obedience training for adoptable dogs
• Foster care for sick, injured, or very young animals
• Adjustable harnesses for walking adoptable dogs
• Spay/neuter, microchip, and Rabies vaccines for barn cats

Every animal deserves to be loved and cared for -- your donation can help fulfill that promise for animals who are still waiting to find a forever home.
